I needed to draw. A family very close to us was ripped apart when one of their children died in a car accident, and the other is in intensive care. I needed to get stuff out. Here it is.

This is the kind of image that cries out to have a story told about it.  Very evocative.

If you only colored the blood, that would be pretty cool, but it is already freaking amazing! Awesome job! :3 -Holly

Such raw emotion is hard to come by. A wonderful work of art, indeed. The wings being torn from the body makes it very emotional, I think. :(

It's stunning and breath-taking. It hits me even harder since it is almost perfectly taken out a very dramatic scene in a story I have been writing. Only difference is that in my story, it was a demon named Dregon who was impaled upon those spikes. He died protecting his kin from renegade angels, a particularly cruel one named Anquis leading them, and his soul came to earth to wait for his beloved, an angel named Alexiel, to find him again.

I've had this in my favorites forever, but I never really got around to telling you how amazing I think this is ^_^

I was wondering... would you mind if I attempted coloring it? Just for personal use, perhaps, like for a wallpaper. I'd show it to you when I'm done, too, and give you all the deserved credit if I decide to use it.

If not, that's just fine. The drawing is beyond excellent uncolored, I just love coloring things xD

Wow...I can't believe it took me so long to get back to you on this. At least...I don't think I already replied. Correct me if I did.

Yes, by all means. As long as it really is just for personal use, though. I'm not even sure I'd want the recolored version to be posted on DA. Normally I allow more, but this image is too special to me to be redistributed in any way beyond that.

Have at it, though.
Make sure you show me afterwards. I would love to see it. :)

Amazing drawing! Actually, reminds me of an always depressed friend of mine - when he was 13, his younger sister was killed in a traffic accident. And no comfort could heal that scar.
